- It is important to determine your lesson objective for each card game e.g. if your game is to deliver the lesson that students need to remember 'note names', then 'note names' will be the lesson objective.
- Once the lesson objective is determined, the cards can be used as flash cards to reinforce what they have learned earlier. Use the cards to ask the whole group of students together. Do not use flash cards on each student individually. Wrong answers will lead to students possibly developing an inferiority complex and will not give full participation in the rest of the games.
- Once you are certain all the students have remembered the lesson objective for e.g. 'note names', you may proceed with your card game.
